I know we are a month or two into the typical school year. I received a Back to School Vox Box with complimentary items to try out for my opinions. It had some interesting things in it, some were school related, some were things for every day life.
There were 2 pilot G2 ink pens included, one in black and one in turquoise. I obviously loved the turquoise as it is my favorite color currently. They write very smoothly with great ink flow, and there was no ink smear on my hand after using it. It made it more fun to write out my to do lists, and also making notes throughout my work day. The black I have used in a more utilitarian way from endorsing checks to addressing envelopes. The same results were achieved with both colors.
There was a coupon for some deli meat, but I was unable to locate the product it was for. I ended up buying some of the same brand deli meat. I am typically a deli meat snob, and I will only buy the organic, more expensive meat. This was more the style of Oscar Meyers and such. The meat flavor was pretty good for the price point. It made for yummy sandwiches which I think is a staple for school lunches.
I also received a sample of the new tide free and clear. It is a delicious honey lavender scent, and it is an more "green" option to laundry detergent. It comes in a clear container for one. Most detergents come in colored plastic. You can use less detergent and the clothes come out clean and fresh smelling. I went out and purchased the product after using it because it worked so well.
There were three coffee Kcups. Normally I would have been so turned off, because Kcups are notorious for not breaking down. I think I read once that the creator of the Keurig felt terrible for making the machine for that reason. These Kcups are totally compostable! I do not have the machine
to brew the coffee, but I kept them for when I'm in the office or at my Hair Stylists salon, because they do have the Keurig machine, and its a great to let other people know these are available!!
I received flossers from Plackers. I normally use regular out of a plastic square floss. These were very handy to put in my purse. You know when you go out to eat, and you get food stuck in your teeth and can't get it loose? That happened to me while working with some popcorn, the kernel skin was stuck in my gum... enter the Placker flosser. I got it out after some work, but my waterpik didn't even work! A bonus... they now make them not only in typical mint flavor, but also smoothie fruit flavors. I imagine you could give these to your kids to encourage good flossing habits.
What are your back to school must haves?
